Pijao Indigenous shelter

The Pijao indigenous shelter (people from Coyaima tribe) is composed of 103 people grouped in seventeen families of the indigenous community. This native people are working on the recovery of traditions such as the language, ceremonies and gastronomy; the shelter has a town council that is operating in a house made of wood, zinc and concrete. It is surrounded by fifteen houses and there, people farms cane (called "panelera" cane) and also, they work on handcraft.

How to get there

From the urban in Albania town, take road to Curillo and then turn to the left (on the Kilometer 6) to Florida rural zone. From this place, it is necessary to take the path and travel almost 7 Km.
