Rubber Festival

"Festival del Caucho" or Rubber Festival was created by the Cultural Center leaded by its director and for pleasing the population, taking into account the main economic activity in the region since its beginning: rubber extraction. The festival was created in the middle of the year 2000 and includes a typical dance that represents every one of the steps in the rubber extraction process. The music and dance allude the mentioned process. The Rubber Festival takes place every last week in August and since the its first date of celebration, the festival is developed every single year and has the participation of other towns in the cultural events.
