The "Corazón Inmaculado de María" parish was the second church built in Florencia. It was built by the father Angel Curiberti on December 8th in 1966. The parish has a rectory and a parish hall.

In this parish there is a statue of the "Virgen de la Consolata" (Consolata Virgin) brought from Italy and made of cypress wood. This statue was initially donated to the parish of Albania town but then it was returned by the mayor of this municipality in 1952. Then, the statue was located in Morelia town where it was left i the outdoors. During a visit of the "consolatos"  missionaries, the priests rescued the statue and gave it to the parish of "Toraso" neighborhood. Finally the "Virgen de la Consolata" was restored and crowned by the bishop.
