The food customs in Caquetá are very typical from the region called "Llanos Orientales" in Colombia. There, dishes like "Chigüiro" (is the biggest rodent known and it tastes so good), veal, rice bread and dairy products. People there look after the guests offering tasty snacks like the one called "Mamona" -veal meat in pieces- and fermented beverages.
Currently, some products like cocoa, a fruit known as "Arazá", and grapes called "Caimarona" are being putted on the market. The fruits, are the main ingredients for jam, nectars, appetizers and canned fruit.
